Hotel and guest soap is a contract business. You are not selling your own brand — you are producing someone else’s, in small bar sizes, in repeat orders, with a changeover every time a client changes their design. The line has to be built around changeover speed and size flexibility, not around maximum output.
Line Composition
- Melting and mixing for white and coloured guest bars
- Milling and extrusion for small, clean bars
- Cutting to small bar weights with tight tolerance
- Stamping with client-specific logos
- Pleat or flow wrapping in small formats

What We Provide with the Line
Small bars hide cut inaccuracy
A 20 g guest bar needs much tighter relative weight control than a 200 g laundry bar. If the cutter is specified for large bars only, the small bar weight will vary too much and clients will notice in their amenity trays. Cut accuracy, not capacity, is the specification that matters here.
Changeover is your real capacity
If a die change takes half a shift, that is capacity you cannot sell. Buy a press with a documented quick-change die system and keep one die per active client so changes are a swap rather than a setup. Track changeover time as a production KPI — it is usually the biggest single improvement available in this segment.
Dies are per client, so plan the die library
Every client means at least one die, sometimes two. Plan storage and labelling for dies, and keep the original artwork and die drawing for each. When a client re-orders two years later, being able to reproduce exactly is what wins the repeat order.
Colour and fragrance carry-over limits you more than capacity
Guest bars are usually white and neutral. Any carry-over from a previous coloured or heavily fragranced batch is a defect. Either plan a rigorous cleaning procedure between products, or dedicate a second small mixer and mill to the pale, unfragranced work. Most successful amenity producers end up doing the latter.
Price, MOQ and Lead Time
Hotel soap lines are quoted by bar size range, output and the number of dies required. Send your typical bar sizes and order pattern and we will propose a configuration with price and a die plan.
MOQ 1 set. Layout drawings, installation guidance and operator training are included.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum order for a hotel soap line?
One set per machine. Many amenity producers start with melting, mixing, milling, cutting and stamping, and add automatic wrapping once contract volumes justify it.
Can the line also produce normal retail bars?
Yes, provided the cutter and stamper have adjustment travel covering both size ranges. Tell us the full range at the quotation stage — it is much cheaper to allow for it up front.
